Many older homes were built with lathe and plaster instead of drywall installed on the interior walls. At some point the plaster will begin to separate and buckle from the lathe strips. In some cases, we can use drywall screws with specially designed washers to hold the plaster in place, and then patch up any cracks with drywall tape and drywall compound.
